We are excited to announce that Bright & Duggan Property Group Managing Director, Chris Duggan, has been appointed Strata Community Association (SCA National) President. 

Chris has recently served as the President of SCA (NSW) since 2015, having sat as an SCA (NSW) Director since 2009. During his tenure as President of SCA (NSW), Chris has overseen an unparalleled boost for the strata management industry’s public profile and professionalism. Under his watch, SCA (NSW) has led the establishment of an Australian-first Professional Standards Scheme (PSS) for strata managers from 1 July 2021.

He has also overseen the implementation of some of the country’s strongest strata legislation and built strong relationships with Government that has yielded positive results for the strata industry. Chris has recently been appointed as the inaugural chair of the NSW Property Services Expert Panel (PSEP)- a direct voice to government on issues impacting the sector and providing expert advice on improving the conduct of agents and the experience of consumers.

Chris is extremely honoured to be elected as the SCA (National) President.  He is excited to leverage the strong platform and state collaboration that currently exists to ensure we develop nationally consistent strata priorities that support consumers in community living in Australia.
